Bayer’s Commitment to Greater China
Bayer’s links with China have a long tradition, going back to 1882 when the company first began supplying dyes for the Chinese market. With China now among the fastest-growing markets in the world, Bayer has stepped up its involvement in the region. Today, Greater China (PR China, Hong Kong, Taiwan) is Bayer's largest single market in Asia, accounting for sales of almost EUR 3.5 billion in 2012. Currently around 12,000 people work for Bayer in Greater China, which is also among the major focuses of the company’s global investment.Bayer is represented in Greater China by its Bayer HealthCare, Bayer CropScience and Bayer MaterialScience subgroups and the service company Bayer Technology Services, and operates several production facilities there. Local production now accounts for an increasing proportion of sales in Greater China. With a number of major investments under way, Bayer is positioned to remain a key partner in China’s development.

Bayer’s health care business in China goes back to 1936, when the company began producing Aspirin in Shanghai. In November 1997, what was then known as the Pharmaceuticals Business Group started the production of pharmaceuticals in Beijing. Today, a wide range of products are manufactured and Bayer is among China’s largest and fastest-growing health care companies.Bayer HealthCare China, BHC in short, is made up of three divisions: Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Care, Animal Health, R&I and D.C.. Represented in more than 70 cities, Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals offers a product line covering general medicine, women’s health, neurology, cardiology, hematology, men’s health and diagnostic imaging. In June 2011, the headquarters of the global primary care business was relocated to Beijing.
This International Management Trainee Program (IMTP hereinafter) is an early leadership development program targeting best MBA graduates from well-known universities in China or overseas, to build up long term general management pipeline for China Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceutical division.

What to expectThis IMTP is an early leadership development program targeting best MBA graduates from well-known universities in China or overseas, to build up long term general management pipeline for China Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceutical division.
IMTP is a TWO years rotational program during which you will be developed diverse functional knowledge, methodology and strategic view by being assigned to critical job roles like Sales, Marketing, Controlling, plus Global jobs and participating the most exciting projects in China and around the globe.
You will also need to join common education/ learning programs, events and networking opportunities with the senior executives across functions and countries.
